First Hand-Made Knife Completed
By far not perfect, but nothing to be ashamed of either, my first hand-made knife is complete:
-1095 steel
-Burl Maple handles finished with dark walnut Danish Oil
-Scandi-vex grind
-Brass pins and lanyard tube
Building this knife was quite a learning experience, and I look forward to improving my skills and working on the next blade design that I come up with.
Addendum: Here it is in the sheath I made for it...designed as a neck-lanyard sheath, but I added a d-ring to allow for a belt dangler if desired.

You Can Never be Too Careful!
So....if you handle knives a lot, especially sharp ones....you're going to cut yourself sooner or later. It turns out that my Victorinox Camper really is razor sharp.........and this is a friendly reminder to my bushcraft friends....Make triple-sure you are being safe with ALL of your blades at all times...especially if you choose to be out in the bush alone.
